Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
